Hybrid Support Surfaces

We stock range of hybrid foam air combination support surfaces – both powered and non powered. Non-powered hybrids work on the principle of pressure redistribution by immersion, and require no set-up, power supply, programming or maintenance.

Powered hybrids consist of foam and air cells, configured as a series of powered air cells, each having a castellated foam insert. This versatile mattress functions as a static pressure relieving surface without a powered control unit, however when clinically required, can ‘step up’ to provide dynamic support with a control unit connected.

Hybrid support surfaces combine the advantages of high resilience foam (in its ability to absorb and redistribute pressure) and air cells (in their ability to apply and remove pressure) – complementary benefits that combine to deliver a versatile pressure surface.
